Scumsong

The truth will out
A descant soars above the notes
There are eyes
Run and cower in the brush
Never mind the thorns: They're yours
Because a toothless world would waste your blood
The bees chose sweeter nectar
Then even the mosquitoes stopped
And you knew you would explode
So you ran and cowered in the brush
and Hoped the leaves would take your blood
To where a descant soars above the notes
The truth will wallow in the mud

Decorum and Propriety will not allow

Goodbye
They will not overlap
You picked the truth to play the odds
And thought Nobility would carry
Thought The descant separates
From here to there
No bridge can bear the weight
Of all the waiting waiting waiting
For some tree to grab the melody
From high up in the clouds
You sent it there the day you played the odds
And thought Nobility would overlap
It won't It never will It can't
You'll never say goodbye

Decorum and Propriety will not allow.
